Description
Part of the Authentic Models Crossing the Seas collection, honouring the age when vessels crossed the world’s oceans by sail and by oar, captains reading the wind, and calling for the blades when it fell still.
Royal Barge Oar #6 draws on a different tradition entirely, the ceremonial barge. For centuries, royal processions moved by water, gilded vessels carried along Europe’s rivers to the rhythm of matched oars, each stroke part propulsion, part pageantry.
Rowing has always turned the oar into something worth keeping, and few were finer than these. This piece is handcrafted from fine wood at a graceful 1.45 metres, sharing the refined family shape while carrying its own character, the finishing note in a considered grouping. Nothing overlooked, regardless of scale.
Works well displayed solo or ranked with the other Royal Barge oars to complete the set. A dependable mover for retailers who understand the value of offering the full range.
